Annie Coleman was born in February 1893. She was the sixth child of Nellie and George. She joined Bethany Baptist Church and was an active member until
her health declined, She attended the local schools and then enrolled in Tuskegee Institute. She came home and married Tom Holt and they were successful farmers.
They became the parents of four children: Dorell, John, Geneva, and Ethel Mae. Annie Coleman was very active in the order of the Eastern Star. She established
several Eastern Star chapters and was active on the District as well as the State level. She served as Worthy Matron and established her own chapter. Tom was the
Head Deacon at the Bethany Baptist Church until his health declined. They lived in the Burnt Corn Community until in their nineties and she spent her final years
along with her husband in the home of their daughter, Geneva in Akron, Ohio.
Tom passed away in 1995 at the age of 104. Annie, passed in 1997 at the age of 105
