Rosa Lee the fifth child of George and Nellie. Rosie Lee was born in February 1892. She received the education available to blacks in the area attended
and Fisk University. She joined her family in worshipping at Bethany Baptist Church.
Sidney Cunningham
She married Sidney Cunningham and they remained in the Burnt Corn community and farmed for a living.
After serving time in the Army during World War 1, they sought better opportunities in Detroit. They brought property there and invested in the Marcus Garvey back to
Africa movement. They returned to Burnt Corn and lived there for the remainder of their lives. Rosie Lee and Sidney has no children, although they helped raised her
brother Johnnie's son John Pershing Marshall.
