Ruby Leigh Tait is the first born child to James "Jim" Tait and Irene Marshall Tait. Ruby was born on April 22, 1905, in Burnt corn, Alabama. Her father Jim was 18 years and her mother Irene was 20 years old. She had three brothers: Garfield, John David, Roger Lorenzo and five sisters: Maggie, Anna Coleman, Earlene, Hettie, and Verlie Rebecca. Her brother Garfield was born June 7, 1906 in Burnt Corn, Alabama when Ruby was one year old. Her brother John David was born in 1908 in Burnt Corn when she was 3 years old. Her brother Roger Lorenzo was born on November 13, 1910, in Burnt Corn when Ruby was 5 years old. Ruby was could barely remember in in 1910, when boll weevil devastated most pf the nearby cotton fields. Her sister Maggie was born on August 16, 1913 when Ruby was 8. On July 22, 1915, when she was nine year old her sister Anna Coleman was born. The in her sister Earlene was born in Burnt Corn on September 24, 1915. During the first World War, her sister Hettie was born on November 27, 1918. When Ruby Leigh was 18 years on, her baby sister was born in Burnt Corn in 1923. She died on July 26, 1925 in Burnt Corn. Ruby was 20 years old when she passed away.
