Burnt Corn Boarding House
The Burnt Corn Boarding house was own by Francis Poindexter "Frank" Clingman. The building was located in the center of Burnt Corn, Alabama. Frank hired out Fannie Lee as a slave to be the cook. He hired her as an employee after the slaves were freed. His grand daughters taught Fannie's daughter Nellie to read and write.
