Jacob Betts

Jacob Betts lived in the Puryearville area of Burnt Corn which is about five miles West. He was a very successful Merchant along with his brother William Betts. They owned the first store in Burnt Corn after the Civil War. Jacob wife was a Miss Clark. William married Jeannie Moseley and they had two sons: Dr. Frank Betts and Isaac Betts
