William Betts
William Betts lived in the Puryearville area of Burnt Corn which is about five miles West. He was a very successful Merchant along with his brother Jacob Betts who married Miss Clark. They owned the first store in Burnt Corn after the Civil War. William married Jeannie Moseley and they had two sons: Dr. Frank Betts and Isaac Betts
