George Lee Lett

George Lee Lett (1939-1964) was Joseph (Joe) Lee Watson(1919-1991) first born child born to Elizabeth Lett (1922-2014) both of Burnt Corn. George was born in May 24, 1939 and remained in Burnt Corn and married Elnora ________ of Tunnel Spring, Alabama. George met an untimely death in a head-on automobile accident in Spanish Fort, Alabama in 1964. George worked at the Shipyard Yard in Mississippi and was returning to Mississippi one Sunday night when the accident happen. The accident killed a total of seven people and two very small infants survived. Seven people was in George's car, five (5) adults and (2)two children. Two adults in the other vehicle.

George' mother Elizabeth Lett-Richardson was 16 years old when he was born and his father Joseph Lee "Joe" Watson was 21 years old.
